2020 hits and we go into lockdown mode due to COVID-19. The world stops, we end going into the office, we close stores, restaurants, movie theaters, and going out with friends and loved ones. So what do we do? Some of us bake, because who doesn’t want to learn how to make their own bread? Or, who doesn’t want to learn how to be Martha Stewart? Like seriously, she’s goals let’s be real. There were also some of us trying to navigate working on our fitness because hello…gyms closed too. For me, I started brain storming ways for my creative juices to flow and really enjoy the time at home, and that is how I came up with The Boss Babes Corner.
Now if you’re new here, hi, my name is Tess and I love to bake! But there’s more to me than baking and you can check out some yummy recipes here, even learn more about how I came about the name “Levi Amour,” and even check out some fun fashion too! I love being creative and sharing my passion with others, but more importantly, I LOVE empowering others and educating others on how you can reach your goals and change the game in your professional life. So what is Boss Babes Corner all about? I’m glad you asked!
The Boss Babes Corner is focused solely on sharing the stories of successful women who have changed the game, started talking about the “hard” conversations related to unequal pay, diversity, inclusivity, safety out in the world being a woman, and my favorite, dating! I’m interviewing women who have gone after their goals and have not allowed “no” to stop them. They’re breaking glass ceilings and I’m sharing their stories to any and all audiences interested in listening to them.
I have strived to incorporate diversity in the topics discussed on Instagram, but also I have taken things one step further in creating a Facebook community for women to share their stories, empower others, and be there for one another when things get tough, but also to celebrate those wins. It’s 2021 everyone, and we NEED to talk about the uncomfortable conversations we often don’t want to talk about, but why is that? Why are we so timid from sharing dating advice, or how to make change in the office, and accepting our bodies for what they are capable of doing. Loving yourself is key, but to love yourself is to accept yourself and feel comfortable talking about the uncomfortable. On The Boss Babes Corner, I focus on just that. From speaking to delegates in office, small business owners, photographers, health professionals, influencers, and athletes, the topics have been so eye opening and informational that I cannot wait to continue this journey and share even more stories of women on The Boss Babes Corner.
So what are you waiting for? If you want to hear more, follow me on IG at Tessington95 or request to join The Boss Babes Corner on FB. I promise you, you won’t regret it! And if you have any women in mind that you think would be a great interviewee on The Boss Babes Corner, let me know and I’d be happy to have them on!
